A little background…

WE ARE ALL CREATIVE IN OUR LIVES! CREATIVITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING A ‘CLASSICAL ARTIST’ AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH BEING HUMAN. WHEN THE CREATIVE IS WOVEN INTO OUR ENDEAVORS IT AWAKENS AN INFINITE WELL OF WISDOM LIVING WITHIN.

MY WORK INVITES THIS WISDOM FORWARD.

I have always had an interest in human development and the inner life.

I have always been creative.

Putting these two together has created a body of work that I am passionate about and eternally grateful to be able to share with you.

It started with the child. After completing a degree in child development in California, I then earned a Teaching Certificate in Waldorf/Steiner Education from Emerson College in the UK. I taught for 23 years in the classroom. I still hold children in various ways and am inspired by teaching teachers the ‘how and why’ of wholistic education.

After my studies and work with children,

I turned my compass towards the therapeutic side of the Creative Arts. I completed my post-graduate degree in Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy in Melbourne, Australia and received training in Biographical Counseling/Group Work in the U.K. I’ve been joyfully and successfully running courses on all things creative and therapeutic since 2002. Create Yourself Awake is a culmination of many offerings. It’s an enduring vision of working with people over a longer span of time so that more depth can occur within oneself and within the group.

Alongside all of this, working with the body has been of interest for me.

I received my license for massage therapy in Hawaii in 2004. I have a deep love for Temple Lomi Lomi and have had the honor of teaching this sacred bodywork with my Lomi teacher over the years. I also worked as an Ayurvedic practitioner alongside Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar from 2004-2006. Ayurveda streams through my life and languaging still.

My work is an integration of the therapeutic quality of creativity, the wisdom of my spiritual life and the hands on contact of bodywork . This translates into a unique collaboration with groups and clients.
I’m dedicated to deep listening and creatively companioning those I encounter toward an experience of wholeness. This wholeness includes the physical and spiritual bodies and their interconnectedness with your unique and sacred human life.
